The most important issues of pulmonology and allergology were discussed
Russian Health Care Week, which is taking place at EXPOCENTRE these days, presented a number of events in various fields of medicine to the attention of specialists. Among them is the conference on the Most Important Issues of Pulmonology and Allergology, which gathered an influencial audience of participants and discussed the latest news in the field of pulmonology and allergology.
The conference was moderated by Andrey Belevsky, Chief Outside Specialist in Pulmonology of the Moscow City Department of Health Care, Head of the Department of Pulmonology at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, and Alexander Sinopalnikov, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Head of the Department of Pulmonology of the Russian Medical Academy of Continuing Professional Education.
The presentations made at the conference focused on various aspects of diagnostics and treatment of allergic and pulmonary diseases.
Natalia Karchevskaya, a pulmonologist at the thoracic surgical department at Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Care, one of the leading specialists of the lung transplantation programme, highlighted the topic of allergic bronchial aspergillosis.
Eldar Anaev, MD, Pulmonologist of the Respiratory Centre at Pletnev State Clinical Hospital, Professor of the Department of Pulmonology at Pirogov Medical University, dedicated his report to the description and choice of treatment strategies for such a serious disease as lung damage in rheumatic diseases.
Alexander Sinopalnikov in his speech emphasised the specifics of epidemiology of out-of-hospital pneumonia, which attracted considerable attention of the medical community against the background of the coronovirus pandemic due to the difficulties in timely diagnosis of the disease.
Nadezhda Knyazheskaya, Associate Professor of the Department of Pulmonology at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, and Zhanna Naumenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Pulmonology at Pirogov University, dwelt on the peculiarities of treating complex cases of bronchial asthma, a disease that is much more common than, for example, diabetes mellitus.
Darya Fomina, Chief Outside Allergologist-Immunologist of the Moscow City Department of Health Care, Head of the Moscow City Scientific and Practical Centre of Allergology and Immunology at State Clinical Hospital No. 52, Associate Professor of the Department of Clinical Immunology and Allergology at Sechenov University dwelled on the description of the pathogenesis of angioedema, as well as hereditary factors, which most often play a determining role in the occurrence of the disease.
Pulmonologist Marina Kevorkova described in her speech a specific case from medical practice, interesting for specialists with a complex clinical picture of the disease.
The conference was continued by the masterclass on Spirometry for General Practitioners, where practical recommendations on application and interpretation of data of one of the effective methods of external respiratory function research were also given.
