Mikhail Murashko met with colleagues from Libya and Burkina Faso during Russian Healthcare Week 2024
Russian Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko and Deputy Prime Minister of Libya Ramadan Ahmed Boujenah held a bilateral meeting and signed a memorandum of understanding in the healthcare sector during Russian Healthcare Week 2024.
The parties intend to cooperate in the healthcare sector in the field of maternal and child health, nuclear medicine, development of medical tourism, introduction of digital technologies in healthcare, as well as in the professional development of medical professionals and in the field of prevention, medical rehabilitation, diagnosis and treatment of non-infectious and infectious diseases.
In addition, Russia and Libya agreed to hold a number of joint events, which include exchange of experience, regulatory, statistical and analytical information, participation in international congresses and conferences.
Mikhail Murashko also held a bilateral meeting with Robert Kargougou, Minister of Health and Public Hygiene of Burkina Faso.
During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues. The main focus was on the exchange of experience in the digital transformation of healthcare and the introduction of modern technologies that will improve the quality and accessibility of medical services.
In addition, the discussion focused on the development of primary health care and emergency medical care. Training of medical personnel and supply of Russian medical products, including their production, were separate items of the talks.
